Before becoming an abstract expressionist painter, I wrote young adult sci-fi and fantasy novels. I used to joke that none of my books started until after the end of the world. You could say I have a long-standing love affair with resilience - and especially what it takes to create resilient love.
The novel Demolition Love tells the story of Aidan and Lawson, two street kids from enemy gangs who fall in love while trying to save their dance club from demolition. Discover the story here.
The painting explored the resistance of love and depicts several themes from the novel: bees, graffiti, and an urban style.
