Weekly Writing Check-in

Last Week:

Alrighty, time to check in about last week’s goal. It was…Work in a relaxed way, then report back on the results.

May 24-29 Report:
Tuesday: 2 hrs (editing)
Wednesday: 4:15 hrs (drafting & 5 queries)
Thursday: 4:45 hrs (1 query; new and improved synopsis)
Friday: 2 hrs editing + 0:15 market research (for real) = 2:15 hrs
Sunday: 1:20 hrs drafting
Total: 14:35 hrs

The verdict: I got nearly my 15 hrs, despite taking the holiday Monday off. I nearly finished a solid draft of my first two chapters, and wrote a little bit of new stuff. I also personalized and sent a bunch of queries, and worked on a new version of my synopsis. So, I’d say it’s a win.

This week:

The beginning of the week is a bit hectic, and it’s mid-week already. My goal was going to be to complete a new synopsis, but after working on it Monday, I realized I like my old synopsis, so now I need a new goal.

Writing May 30-June 1 Goal: Write at least 3K new words on Book 2. I’d really like to get at least 3600. Don’t be mean to myself if I fall short of that.
